Welcome to York Caving Club
We are a friendly caving club based in the City of York, close to the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors.
Established in 2008, we have grown from our first founder members to an average membership of 25-30 people, based mostly in Yorkshire, although we now have members all over the UK. We are active in all aspects of caving and also mine exploration, including regular weekends away to explore the caves of Wales, the Yorkshire Dales, and longer trips such as Ireland. Working in partnership with the North York Moors Caving Club, we have discovered approximately 4 km of new cave passage in the North York Moors, and work continues on a weekly basis.
Please take a moment to look around our website. You will find photos and blogs on all our past events, details of our exploration projects, and a list of all our upcoming events.
If you would like to get involved or for further information please contact us.
